Jenkinson's Boardwalk - One of the nicest NJ beaches you might want to visit, with thrill rides, miniature golf, games of chance, concession stands, restaurants, candy and ice cream. There is a delightful smaller aquarium located right at the boardwalk with penguins, poison dart frogs, fish native to NJ waters, seahorses and other assorted inhabitants.

Casinos
Atlantic City, NJ - One of the few free NJ beaches. Several casinos with slot machines and table games, sports betting; aquarium, outlet shopping, miles of boardwalk, restaurants, night clubs, concerts, shows, museums, Absecon Lighthouse, fishing charters and more. Nearby is Cape May with many Victorian era homes, the Cape May Zoo, Wildwood Beach and Amusement Park.

Bethlehem, PA - The Las Vegas Sands Corp. just opened their East Coast casino in May of 2009. The Sands Bethlehem in Eastern Pennsylvania was built on the old 124 acre site in of the Bethlehem Steel Plant which closed in 1995. No table games or sports betting but 3,000 slot machines, parking for 3,400 cars, electronic black jack and poker games, upscale restaurants like Emeril's Chop House and all the charm of historic Bethlehem.

Located right on Rt. 9, Smithville is only a 20 minute ride to Atlantic City. Horse Racing
Monmouth Park - Oceanport NJ - This racetrack offers live thoroughbred racing from Wednesday through Sunday; simulcasting all week. Early morning tours by reservation, restaurants, picnic areas. Sundays are family day with lots of free activities for the children.

Freehold Raceway - Freehold, NJ - This track features live Standardbred harness races for trotters and pacers August through early June. The racetrack was established in 1853 and is open seven days a week and seven nights for year round thoroughbred and harness racing simulcasts. They offer free admission every afternoon, seven days a week and free parking evenings for simulcasting and all day Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Museums
Trenton City Museum - Trenton, NJ - Houses many fine collections, has scheduled musical performances, and art exhibitions. The museum itself occupies the old mansion Ellarslie in the center of Cadwader Park. Although Ellarslie doesn't have a street address, mapping programs will accept 299 Parkside Ave, which I guess takes you to the park entrance. From there signs show the way to Ellarslie.

Old Barracks Museum - Trenton, NJ - Revolutionary War buffs might enjoy a visit. The barracks predates the Revolutionary War and is located in downtown Trenton, next to the New Jersey State House.

Shopping
Downtown Jamesburg - Jamesburg, NJ - This is a nice downtown area on both sides of the main road, which would be East and West Railroad Ave., through the town adjoining the one our show is at. Most of you have to drive through this portion of downtown as you near the show hall. There are plenty of places to eat like Maria's, Fiddleheads and others. (Besides the Dunkin Donuts, Subway, and Chicken Holiday) You can stop in museums, art galleries, antique shops, a consignment shop and Mendoker's Bakery. Mmmm! From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, there is a wonderful farmers market with multiple vendors and activities. It is held in the parking lot of the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church at Gatzmer Avenue and Church Street. Parking is on Gatzmer Ave. and at the rear of the church. There is also Thomson Park, which many of you would be passing by on your right as you head from exit 8A of the NJ TNPK to the show hall. This park has a lake, picnic areas, trails, playground and a small animal park.

Brunswick Square Mall - East Brunswick, NJ - JC Penney, Macys, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, The Chidren's Place, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesday, Mega Movies movie theater, three jewelry stores and numerous other stores and restaurants all located on one ground floor. The mall's address is 755 State Rt. 18 and is located at the intersection of Rt. 18 South and Rues Lane. Several other strip malls and restaurants like Red Lobster, Denney's and IHOP are across the highway and in the nearby area all along Rt. 18.
